The Nová Karolina Park project in Ostrava was awarded the title of "Best Investment" in the TO INVEST 2013 Competition. The results of the competition, which is organised annually by the Association of Building Entrepreneurs of the Czech Republic, were presented on 23 April 2014 at a gala party at the International Building Fair in Brno.
The Nová Karolina Park won the award for its investment project, which created a large and architecturally valuable administrative building in Ostrava. It will increase the quality of the office culture in the city and it will bring reasonable profits to its investors once all the rental units have been leased.
The TOP INVEST Competition is organised by the Association of Building Entrepreneurs of the Czech Republic to support investment projects in the Czech Republic and to appreciate the contribution of property developers to the Czech economy. The competition is open to all construction projects with either a good economic return on investment or with a certain social importance – i.e. with a positive impact on the cultural, sports and social life of the city or the region.
The title "Best Investment" was awarded to three projects, without a ranking. The projects Competence Centre in Kuřim (CNC machines) and Reconstruction of the Art School in Jihlava were also awarded the title together with the Nová Karolina Park. Two more projects received honourable mentions: the Lean Centre in Škoda Mladá Boleslav and the reconstruction and extension of houses nos. 60 and 450 at Třída Míru in Pardubice.
